I have not had a chance to use this yet, but I have assembled the sprayer and am impressed at its well thought out design and sturdy construction. Its major points are, the inclusion of a roller PTO pump i.e. no electrical hookups or motors to burn out. The whole platform is well designed and above all simple. The assembly was simple and took no longer than 30 minutes. I will update this review after I have had a chance to use it.

The online purchase process was easy, and the sprayer arrived one week later at our local TSC. No issues with picking it up.. they assisted with fork lift into the back of my truck. Assembly wasn’t very difficult, and took only about an hour. The instructions are lacking in many areas, hence the 4 stars. There is a very helpful public YouTube video on how to properly setup. The sprayer worked very well on our 55HP Class2 tractor. Short booms are nice for fence rows and tight spots. I sprayed a 12 acre field in about 2 hours. The only issue I had on second use is the sprayer would not prime. I had to disconnect the intake hose near the cutoff valve to bleed air out while the PTO was running. I contacted FIMCO about a crack in a plastic fitting and they sent me a replacement next day. Overall very satisfied in the product.

The sprayer works great so far. Had a few minor issues, TSC stores the sprays outside. The pump had rust in it and wouldn’t build pressure. TSC went above and beyond to fix the issue quickly.

Nice product, only problem I have encountered, it is not fully assembled and some assembly is required. The FIMCO Owner’s Manual, does not provide any assembly instructions. I had to go to YouTube, to get the information I needed.

Arrived here in good shape and in a good time frame from an order and shipped to the store. Fimco did not put a nozzle tee in the spray harness. Therefore I’ll have to purchase a tee to connect the boom nozzles.

The product is good, BUT if this unit is pre-assembled by Tractor Supply you will have to sit down with the assembly instructions and correct countless mistakes. I laughed at the spray bar not having the rubber bushings attached, but both bushings were on the spray bar, I guess the worker was wondering what they were for? For the life of me I could not get the pump primed until I found that the assembler had connected the input flow to the output hose and the output hose to the input connection on the PTO pump. Oh, and nothing will be tight, NOTHING! Also, the two extra supplied hose clamps are not “extras” they go on the input and output hoses that they forgot to install prior to slipping the hoses over the barbed elbows. At least they included them in the “extra” parts bag where I found the other 4 missing parts. Last, there is a chain bolted to the PTO pump, this bolt requires a 1/2 wrench to tighten, not the finger tight applied at tractor supply. Yes, with vibration this finger tight bolt will loosen and fall out causing the pump to fall off the tractor. Wanna know how I know this? Again, once assembled correctly this unit works well.

This sprayer is the perfect size for use around my 5 acre residence. I had been using a spot sprayer and its hard to get consistent application with one of those. This sprayer allows me to quickly and consistently spray fencelines, driveways ditches and pasture from my kubota m5070. 60 gallons is the right amount for the jobs im tackling and im able to finish with almost no waste.

The sprayer is well made. It is light weight on a solid plate base. It was fairly easy to assemble but care should be taken to tighten all the connections, even the ones that are preassembled. The hose attachment is generous. The sprayer is easy to operate. It functioned as expected on the first attempt to use it.

Needed help from Tractor Supply to get all the pieces that were not shipped with the product. They were terrific in attitude and commitment. Once working it’s a great product. I will continue to look to them for products truly backed up effort and honesty. I have used the sprayer for weedkiller and look forward to fertilizing.

The design is solid, functional, and maintainable if you can get through the assembly process. As others have said, the assembly is not difficult, but a little confusing. It could have been a smoother task with a few more detailed drawings or notes were included. The exploded view was so small no real details were gleaned from it. Here are a few points of confusion that occurred for me during assembly and use: 1) Should the swing away boom arms fold upward for storage, or backward in case while using the sprayer your boom tip doesn’t clear a tree or other obstacle you are trying to steer around? You’d want it to fold up, rather than crumple/bend, right? 2) Should the spray heads point backwards (level to ground) or directly downwards? 3) Should the boom be mounted on the bracket at 90 degrees to ground level, or a 30 degree slant downward? (I pointed spray heads backwards but also the bar was mounted with a 30 degree slant downwards) 4) Should the spray heads/hoses be mounted on the same side of the boom as the springs, or opposite side? (I went with opposite side to avoid obstruction of springs with hoses) Assembly Tip – I found it easiest to assemble the two piece clip for each nozzle along with the nozzle first, then slip it on the end of the boom and slide it into place before trying to tighten the holding clamp. VERY IMPORTANT ASSEMBLY WARNING — DO NOT ATTACH the PTO pump’s holding chain to the hydraulic lift arm or anything that moves. I did so with very little chain slack, not wanting the pump to wind the chain around the PTO shaft when activated. This was a bad idea. First time I raised the 3PT hitch and before even activating the pump the 5/8″ stainless steel pump shaft was bent a good 1/2″ out of alignment. Thankfully the quick coupler was still good. The pump was useless after that, and it never saw a minute of active duty. Who would have thought a lightweight little loop chain would not break under the strain, and instead the big strong 5/8″ steel pump shaft would bend like soft lead? That was an expensive thing to learn not to do and I had to buy a replacement pump. IMPORTANT USAGE WARNING – THERE IS A FLUID SHUTOFF VALVE underneath the sprayer assembly in a hard to see and hard to reach location. It was in the off position when I started up, meaning the pump would have been running dry. I feel that should be highlighted in the instructions AND they should spin the valve to be reachable from the near side of where the valve is located. A TIP GUARD SHOULD BE CONSIDERED – The spray tips are plastic, and the spray tips on the outer ends of the boom are at risk if you run into something, or are on uneven ground. I was on some uneven ground and my tractor leaned right enough for the right end boom (and spray tip) to drag on the ground. Between hard earth and plastic spray tip, the plastic lost and started grinding away. Now if they had put a small bit of protective metal shielding on each boom end to protect the tip from this happening, the spray tip would have been fine. So there’s an area for design improvement or a DYI enhancement. As far as spraying and usage — I had planned on running 25psi, which would have applied my material at 15 gal/acre and one 60 gallon tank would have been perfect for my 4 acres. Instead I found that a 100-125psi pressure was needed to get a good spray pattern, and my application rate used up 60 gal/acre, or 4X the planned rate. Your mileage may vary. The wand sprayer was great. Put the tractor on slow creep mode and the hand wand put out plenty of liquid so I could just idle along and soak the ground in areas to irregular to use the boom sprayer on. Sprayer materials look solid, and with proper maintenance I’m hoping I get 10 years or better out of the gear.

Sprayer works well. Keep in mind it’s not a premium sprayer so there’s plastic fittings. Check all hose clamps and fittings for security before using, many were loose on mine. Also check for broken nozzles or fittings before leaving store. Found some broken on mine, unfortunately after I was 60 miles from store.

Great boom sprayer for the money! Instructions to assemble consist of about 4 sentences but the parts breakdown sheets are great. There’s a good YouTube video posted that will help too. Again, great sprayer though, meant for small to medium properties and hobby farms. I do wish the ‘quick attach’ pin dimensions were standardized across the industry. I relocated the top link hole to match my current equipment.

Sprayed really well. Easy set up. Directions aren’t super detailed but worked well enough. I set the sprayer to the directions and tested it first to get the kinks out. There’s a shut off under it next to the screener that has to be turned on. And definitely tighten all connections before running.

The performance of the sprayer has been great for the first application that I’ve done. I put 60 gallons of 2-4-D down on my pasture to kill broadleaf weeds. Pre-Installation: TSC stored the product outside so the instructions had dried out from being rained on and the yellow spray nozzles were faded by the sun. We were also missing a complete nozzle and filter which required a second trip to the store.

Straight out of the box, check and tighten all connections (a must do), put on the spray bars and PTO pump, hooked it to the tractor and added about 15 gal. of water to check for leaks and played with the regulator and spray pattern. I have wand sprayed 40 gal. of a Sendero mix. Using the regulator it is easy to control droplet size therefore controlling wind drift. In addition, anything under 150-160 psi recirculates back into the tank. Spraying between 30 to 50 psi the recirculation was quite impressive keeping the mixture well mixed.

I bought this on 8-2-2019. I went to the Burlington Wisconsin store to buy this, but they were missing all the bags of hardware and the pump. So, I ended up purchasing it from the Mukwonago Wisconsin store because they kept all the parts with the sprayer. First, you want to make sure that you have everything when you take it home. There are 2 clear plastic bags of hardware, a pump in the box (which also contains the PTO spline sleeve and a set screw), a hose (not attached to anything), and the hose with all the nozzles. The owners manual which is the installation manual was written very poorly with very few pics or diagrams to help you. It is incomprehensible. However, this has no bearing on the quality of the product. It sprays great. Since the installation manual won’t help you much, I made a video on YouTube to help everyone get this thing put together in half the time that it took me. I labeled the video “Fimco 60 Gallon PTO sprayer installation”. Trust me, you’ll use this for your installation versus the manual they give you with the unit. Aside from that…this thing is great!
