I bought a different girth and stirrup leathers to go with this and this does NOT come with a bit. The girth it came with was an unpadded nylon strap (obviously not comfy for horse). Im just not a fan of the nylon stirrup leathers but they would have functioned just fine. They’re in my “just in case” tack pile now. The saddle and bridle are nice, feels to be of good quality and soft. I conditioned them as soon as they came in to get off any dust and grime and the leather is soft, just a little stiff but that’ll loosen up. The saddle pad is basic. Nothing special but nothing too cheap. Great for the price!

The stirrup leathers aren’t leather – they’re nylon. Doesn’t matter to me but someone may want to know that.

A great starter saddle set! Could do with better leathers and forth, but for just the saddle and bridle alone, you can’t beat the price.

Great saddle and bridle. The only thing is the legs straps aren’t leather they are nylon. Would have preferred leather.

I’ve only used the saddle once, and it was surprisingly comfortable. I will say that the saddle isn’t exactly as advertised. Some parts of the saddle are good quality, others seem cheap. The pad isn’t what’s pictured – I was sent a white fleece saddle-shaped pad, not a full quilted pad. The girth is also different, but actually better than what’s in the picture. However, the girth is only 46″, not 48″ which could be very problematic. It fit the 14.1 hand horse I’m currently riding though, luckily. The bridle was a bit big for her, though, but it doesn’t seem like that can’t be fixed with an added hole punch or two.

We bought this saddle so I could learn how to ride English and do competitions. I reviewed it with my professional adviser, and just by looking at it she new it was great! It is a very good quality saddle, the bit and bridle are awesome too. The saddle pad is comfortable for the horse, with piping and an extra layer in the middle. The girth fits my horse just fine. I definitely recommend this product!
