I love this backpack. It is very durable and fits everything I need without being too big and bulky. I have been traveling with two laptops and I have no issues fitting that plus my water bottle and a sweater, etc. I love that there is a small top pocket for quick access to my id and credit cards when I am traveling. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase.

I really love the Rowledge! I bought the 21-liter large capacity Rowledge (black exterior with lavender interior and gold hardware) to replace a Pacsafe Women’s Citysafe CX Travel Pack I have used for work for about four years now. I loved my Pacsafe bag, but I now work fully remote and travel *a lot*. My old bag only had a 17-liter capacity, and since I now move around with an entire mobile office, it just wasn’t enough space. Plus, while it had two side pockets for water bottles, they just didn’t have enough give to actually fit a normal-sized water bottle when the interior was full, never mind that it had that doctor bag style framed-opening top. When I used the bag to move between my office, grad school classes, and home, the framed opening was great because it was so easy to see everything; I just could not get in and out of it one-handed when I wore it in front while in line to go through TSA security which is now a very significant part of my work life.
Based on all of the above, my requirements for a new backpack were:
1) Between 19 and 22 liter capacity with a slim profile (so I don’t hit people in the face when deboarding a plane)
2) Light color interior so I can see and find things
3) Top “tote” style handles because they are easier to carry
4) Easy one-handed in-and-out when front-loaded
5) Two side pouches that can easily fit water bottles
6) Anti-theft properties (locking zippers, anti-slash straps, RFID protection, etc.).
The Rowledge fit all of my requirements except the anti-theft properties. The side pouches on the Rowledge have enough give when unzipped to easily fit my water bottle and travel coffee mug, but also zip up to lay flat when I’m not using them. I *absolutely love* that. I love the light lavender interior and signature Jacquard pattern; it is beautiful and functional as it is very easy to see inside and find things. I also really love the second, slim laptop compartment. The black hardware for that compartment makes it less obvious to possible thieves and makes the bag more sleek and minimalist. The bag has beautiful detailing inside and out and is incredibly well constructed and fashionable. The large capacity Rowledge is an excellent size, not too big, not too small, with a good amount of interior capacity and a beautifully slim profile. It fits everything I need to carry with me in my mobile office and has been a breeze to fly with. My toiletries kit that I always keep in my carry-on *just in case* fits perfectly in the front pocket for easy retrieval when going through security. And, bonus, the bag is fabulously easy to open and close one-handed when front-loaded. It is a wonderful travel and work bag.
There are two things I wish the Rowledge had or were different about it.
First, I wish the interior organization insert was an optional add-on. I won’t ever use it because everything I travel with is packed in “kits” that I add and remove as I need. (I use both sizes of the Sonia Kashuk loaf makeup bag from Target because their cube format fits together perfectly in any bag. I have them in a bunch of different patterns and know what the contents of each bag are based on their pattern and size.) The organization insert that came with the Rowledge doesn’t add anything for me, takes up space I need when it is in the bag, and will just be stored in a box under my bed because I would hate to get rid of it since the bag was so expensive.
Second, it would be amazing if Lo & Sons added anti-theft protections to their products. For example, it would be *beyond amazing* if there were a zipper locking mechanism, anti-slash straps, and RFID protection. I will say that the way the straps are convertible provides the ability to wrap the straps around a table or chair leg if necessary, which will stop a thief from grabbing a bag sitting on the ground at an outdoor restaurant or train station. However, the clasps don’t lock, so it isn’t a true anti-theft property.
All in all, I am *beyond* thrilled with my purchase of the large capacity Rowledge backpack from Lo & Sons. It meets 5 of my 6 requirements, but since I use the bag with a cross-body purse that has those anti-theft protections, I am not as concerned about the lack of anti-theft properties in this backpack. It is very comfortable to carry, even when loaded down with all of my mobile office stuff, looks amazing, and is totally worth the money. I fully intend on using this bag for many years to come.

I got the large Rowledge for work and I love it! It’s so stylish and refined, and it fits my 12 in ThinkPad perfectly. The only suggestion I have to improve the bag is to forego the storage insert and instead build the extra pockets directly into the bag. Other than that, it’s perfect for me.

I had the O.G. 2 and was happy with it as a commuter but I wanted to have options so I bought the Rowledge. No regrets.

This may be the most perfect commuting bag! It has such good organization – I love the quick access pocket on top, which fits a work ID and cell phone. It is also super comfortable with nicely padded straps. I am so satisfied
