Allbirds, Inc. is a New Zealand and American public benefit company that sells footwear and apparel, co-founded in 2014 by Tim Brown and Joey Zwillinger. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California. Its business model has historically relied on direct-to-consumer commerce, though it has some brick and mortar commerce.

Allbirds was founded as part of a suite of corporations funded via Kickstarter such as Warby Parker, and has based its corporate identity heavily on its sustainability. Since the 2020s, the company has faced criticism by legal scholars for "greenwashing" after a case regarding their reporting of carbon offsets was dismissed. Allbirds went public on November 3, 2021, but began to suffer from poor sales soon after, leading to a reworking of the company's C-suite from 2022 to 2024. On April 8, 2024, the company received a non-compliance notice from the Nasdaq for performing below $1 for over 30 days straight.

In the cultural sphere, the company's shoes are best known for their minimalist designs; association with environmental, social, and governance principles; and Silicon Valley. During the mid-to-late 2010s, the company became a fad among tech workers in major American cities and was worn by individuals such as Barack Obama and Leonardo DiCaprio.

A performance is an act or process of staging or presenting a play, concert, or other form of entertainment. It is also defined as the action or process of carrying out or accomplishing an action, task, or function.

Running is a method of terrestrial locomotion by which humans and other animals move rapidly on foot. Running is a gait with an aerial phase in which all feet are above the ground (though there are exceptions). This is in contrast to walking, where one foot is always in contact with the ground, the legs are kept mostly straight, and the center of gravity vaults over the stance leg or legs in an inverted pendulum fashion. A feature of a running body from the viewpoint of spring-mass mechanics is that changes in kinetic and potential energy within a stride co-occur, with energy storage accomplished by springy tendons and passive muscle elasticity. The term "running" can refer to a variety of speeds ranging from jogging to sprinting.

Running in humans is associated with improved health and life expectancy.

It is hypothesized that the ancestors of humankind developed the ability to run for long distances about 2.6 million years ago, probably to hunt animals. Competitive running grew out of religious festivals in various areas. Records of competitive racing date back to the Tailteann Games in Ireland between 632 BCE and 1171 BCE, while the first recorded Olympic Games took place in 776 BCE. Running has been described as the world's most accessible sport.

S, or for lowercase, s, is the nineteenth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and other latin alphabets worldwide. Its name in English is ess (pronounced ), plural esses.

In botany, a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, usually supporting branches and leaves. In some usages, the definition of a tree may be narrower, including only woody plants with secondary growth, plants that are usable as lumber or plants above a specified height. In wider definitions, the taller palms, tree ferns, bananas, and bamboos are also trees.

Trees are not a monophyletic taxonomic group but consist of a wide variety of plant species that have independently evolved a trunk and branches as a way to tower above other plants to compete for sunlight. The majority of tree species are angiosperms or hardwoods; of the rest, many are gymnosperms or softwoods. Trees tend to be long-lived, some reaching several thousand years old. Trees evolved around 370 million years ago, and it is estimated that there are around three trillion mature trees in the world currently.

A tree typically has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground by the trunk, which typically contains woody tissue for strength, and vascular tissue to carry materials from one part of the tree to another. For most trees the trunk is surrounded by a layer of bark which serves as a protective barrier. Below the ground, the roots branch and spread out widely; they serve to anchor the tree and extract moisture and nutrients from the soil. Above ground, the branches divide into smaller branches and shoots. The shoots typically bear leaves, which capture light energy and convert it into sugars by photosynthesis, providing the food for the tree's growth and development.

Trees usually reproduce using seeds. Flowering plants have their seeds inside fruits, while conifers carry their seeds in cones, and tree ferns produce spores instead.

Trees play a significant role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store large quantities of carbon in their tissues. Trees and forests provide a habitat for many species of animals and plants. Tropical rainforests are among the most biodiverse habitats in the world. Trees provide shade and shelter, timber for construction, fuel for cooking and heating, and fruit for food as well as having many other uses. In much of the world, forests are shrinking as trees are cleared to increase the amount of land available for agriculture. Because of their longevity and usefulness, trees have always been revered, with sacred groves in various cultures, and they play a role in many of the world's mythologies.

Have been interested in the tree dasher line since they came out, but was hesitant. I love my Tree Runners. Decided to take the plunge and couldn’t be happier! They’re a little bulky in comparison, so it took me a little to get used to but they’re SO comfy.

The shoes are a beautiful color and comfortable. I would like it if there was more depth in the toe box.

Extremely supportive shoes! The toe cage area is roomy and the comfort level is high. I bought the white pair and like “the look”.

Loved these right out of the box! Wore them around the house -no socks and they were super comfortable. Tried with socks for short walks but that felt a bit too hot, ironically. So, did my first power walk of about three miles with no socks –big mistake. My right pinkie toe rubbed raw as did my left heel. I emailed Allbirds to see if I somehow got the wrong size or shoe (wear an 8.5B–these ft as they should) and Liesel responded that I should try massaging the heel cup, wearing them with socks to break them in and see if that helps. SO that is where I am–want ot love these as I need all the cushioning I can get (disc issues) and bought these for a trip where I will walk 10 hours a day. Hoping i don’t need to send them back once they break in a bit more–
