5 (five) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number, and cardinal number, following 4 and preceding 6, and is a prime number.

Humans, and many other animals, have 5 digits on their limbs.

Cooking, also known as cookery or professionally as the culinary arts, is the art, science and craft of using heat to make food more palatable, digestible, nutritious, or safe. Cooking techniques and ingredients vary widely, from grilling food over an open fire, to using electric stoves, to baking in various types of ovens, reflecting local conditions. Cooking is an aspect of all human societies and a cultural universal.

Types of cooking also depend on the skill levels and training of the cooks. Cooking is done both by people in their own dwellings and by professional cooks and chefs in restaurants and other food establishments.

Preparing food with heat or fire is an activity unique to humans. Archeological evidence of cooking fires from at least 300,000 years ago exists, but some estimate that humans started cooking up to 2 million years ago.

The expansion of agriculture, commerce, trade, and transportation between civilizations in different regions offered cooks many new ingredients. New inventions and technologies, such as the invention of pottery for holding and boiling of water, expanded cooking techniques. Some modern cooks apply advanced scientific techniques to food preparation to further enhance the flavor of the dish served.

A cooktop (American English), stovetop (Canadian and American English) or hob (British English), is a device commonly used for cooking that is commonly found in kitchens and used to apply heat to the base of pans or pots. Cooktops are often found integrated with an oven into a kitchen stove but may also be standalone devices. Cooktops are commonly powered by gas or electricity, although oil or other fuels are sometimes used.

The inch (symbol: in or ) is a unit of length in the British Imperial and the United States customary systems of measurement. It is equal to 1/36 yard or 1/12 of a foot. Derived from the Roman uncia ("twelfth"), the word inch is also sometimes used to translate similar units in other measurement systems, usually understood as deriving from the width of the human thumb.

Standards for the exact length of an inch have varied in the past, but since the adoption of the international yard during the 1950s and 1960s the inch has been based on the metric system and defined as exactly 25.4 mm.

A monogram is a motif made by overlapping or combining two or more letters or other graphemes to form one symbol. Monograms are often made by combining the initials of an individual or a company, used as recognizable symbols or logos. A series of uncombined initials is properly referred to as a cypher (e.g. a royal cypher) and is not a monogram.

Many of today's monograms are embroidered on items for the home like towels, bedding, robes etc.

Smart may refer to a high level of intelligence or "street smarts".

With or WITH may refer to:

  • With, a preposition in English
  • Carl Johannes With (1877–1923), Danish doctor and arachnologist
  • With (character), a character in D. N. Angel
  • With (novel), a novel by Donald Harrington

Cooks like a dream. The temp control is precise and there’s no bizarre humming. We bought this to replace a GE Profile and we’re so glad we upgraded to the Monogram. Well worth the price!

We removed our GE cooktop and replace it with this monogram induction cooktop. If you haven’t used induction you don’t know what you are missing. You are able to better control the heat and cooking process!

We love our new Monogram Induction Cooktop. Once you use an induction cooktop, neither a gas nor an electric cooktop will do. Temperature control is excellent! Cooks as fast or faster than gas without the mess and more precise and faster than an electrical cooktop. Yes, it does take pans that have a bottom made for induction cooktops but cast iron does work as well.
