10 (ten) is the even natural number following 9 and preceding 11. Ten is the base of the decimal numeral system, the most common system of denoting numbers in both spoken and written language.
The chicken (Gallus domesticus) is a large and round short-winged bird, domesticated from the red junglefowl of Southeast Asia around 8,000 years ago. Most chickens are raised for food, providing meat and eggs; others are kept as pets or for cockfighting.
Chickens are common and widespread domestic animals, with a total population of 26.5 billion as of 2023, and an annual production of more than 50 billion birds. A hen bred for laying can produce over 300 eggs per year. There are numerous cultural references to chickens in folklore, religion, and literature.
Construction is a general term meaning the art and science of forming objects, systems, or organizations. It comes from the Latin word constructio (from com- "together" and struere "to pile up") and Old French construction. To 'construct' is a verb: the act of building, and the noun is construction: how something is built or the nature of its structure.
In its most widely used context, construction covers the processes involved in delivering buildings, infrastructure, industrial facilities, and associated activities through to the end of their life. It typically starts with planning, financing, and design that continues until the asset is built and ready for use. Construction also covers repairs and maintenance work, any works to expand, extend and improve the asset, and its eventual demolition, dismantling or decommissioning.
The construction industry contributes significantly to many countries' gross domestic products (GDP). Global expenditure on construction activities was about $4 trillion in 2012. In 2022, expenditure on the construction industry exceeded $11 trillion a year, equivalent to about 13 percent of global GDP. This spending was forecasted to rise to around $14.8 trillion in 2030.
The construction industry promotes economic development and brings many non-monetary benefits to many countries, but it is one of the most hazardous industries. For example, about 20% (1,061) of US industry fatalities in 2019 happened in construction.

Really nice, well built. I put it on a foundation of treated 4×4’s and expect it to last for years. My only disappointment was that it’s dimensions are 42″ x 6′ instead of 4′ x 8′.

We purchased our coop in the spring of 2020 when it was MUCH less expensive and stained it before assembling. We have had up to 8 hens and it’s worked out ok because we built them an extra fenced yard that they can access through their little door but we can still access the egg door from the outside of their fence plus they get to free range at the end of the day in the rest of our yard. The nests weren’t great so we bought nest boxes to add. We have had to reinforce the floor this year but it’s not the end of the world. It’s been a perfect coop for us in our urban back yard. The chickens are happy and our neighbors give them treats and love the fresh eggs!

Very well made coop, with significantly heavier wood than typical coop kits. Painted it before assembling it (barn red with white trim). Good illustrated instructions; assembled very easily. As usual with most coop manufacturers, they overestimate the occupancy. I have 6 hens and wouldn’t want to increase that number.
