The chicken (Gallus domesticus) is a large and round short-winged bird, domesticated from the red junglefowl of Southeast Asia around 8,000 years ago. Most chickens are raised for food, providing meat and eggs; others are kept as pets or for cockfighting.

Chickens are common and widespread domestic animals, with a total population of 23.7 billion as of 2018, and an annual production of more than 50 billion birds. A hen bred for laying can produce over 300 eggs per year. There are numerous cultural references to chickens in folklore, religion, and literature.

Coop or Co-op most often refer to:

  • Chicken coop or other animal enclosure
  • Cooperative or co-operative ("co-op"), an association co-operating for mutual social, economic or cultural benefit
    • Consumers' co-operative
    • Food cooperative
    • Housing cooperative (as in "a co-op apartment")
      • Building cooperative
    • Worker cooperative
  • Cooperative board game
  • Cooperative video game
  • Prison, in slang

Coop, COOP or Co-op may also refer to:

Pride is defined by Merriam-Webster as "reasonable self-esteem" or "confidence and satisfaction in oneself". Oxford defines it as "the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's own importance." Pride may be related to one's own abilities or achievements, positive characteristics of friends or family, or one's country. Richard Taylor defined pride as "the justified love of oneself", as opposed to false pride or narcissism. Similarly, St. Augustine defined it as "the love of one's own excellence", and Meher Baba called it "the specific feeling through which egoism manifests."

Philosophers and social psychologists have noted that pride is a complex secondary emotion that requires the development of a sense of self and the mastery of relevant conceptual distinctions (e.g. that pride is distinct from happiness and joy) through language-based interaction with others. Some social psychologists identify the nonverbal expression of pride as a means of sending a functional, automatically perceived signal of high social status.

Pride may be considered the opposite of shame or of humility, sometimes as proper or as a virtue, and sometimes as corrupt or as a vice. With a positive connotation, pride refers to a content sense of attachment toward one's own or another's choices and actions, or toward a whole group of people, and is a product of praise, independent self-reflection, and a fulfilled feeling of belonging. Other possible objects of pride are one's ethnicity, and one's sex identity (for example LGBT pride). With a negative connotation pride refers to a foolishly and irrationally corrupt sense of one's personal value, status or accomplishments, used synonymously with hubris.

While some philosophers such as Aristotle (and George Bernard Shaw) consider pride (but not hubris) a profound virtue, some world religions consider pride's fraudulent form a sin, such as is expressed in Proverbs 11:2 of the Hebrew Bible. In Judaism, pride is called the root of all evil. When viewed as a virtue, pride in one's abilities is known as virtuous pride, greatness of soul, or magnanimity, but when viewed as a vice it is often known to be self-idolatry, sadistic contempt, vanity, or vainglory.

S, or s, is the nineteenth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is ess (pronounced ), plural esses.

Finally a chicken coop that won’t fall apart & rot in 2 years. Easy for one person to assemble (bolted together with good hardware) and clear instructions.

Very well built coop. Love that it’s made out of heavy screen that’s welded. Latch’s could be higher quality.

Bought this coop for our silkies. My husband and I set it up in about an hour or less. Every part was numbered and easy step by step instructions. Coop seems to be very durable and sturdy. We added cement blocks around the bottom to create a barrier on the outside along with locks on all the latches. After a week, the coop has discouraged and prevented 2 predator attacks. (See attached videos.) We will continue to make improvements and learn from others. This coop has been a lifesaver so far for our silkies. Definitely worth the money!

This is a great set-up for a small flock. I had to separate a couple hens that were getting injured by a bully hen. I needed one in a hurry so I went to Tractor Supply and they had this model available. Two very helpful ladies assisted in getting this into my car and off I went. The assembly went fairly well, but I did need to re-drill a couple of holes in the roof to get it to line up with the opposite side. All i all this was a great purchase and my hens adjusted to it almost immediately. I got my first eggs from the hens that I relocated into this enclosure. They’re happy, I’m happy.

Great sturdy product. Easy to assemble, but will need two people. Smaller than I expected but perfect for my baby guineas. The construction is one that will last.

This coop is well-built and strong. Hubby had it put together in about an hour. It’s the perfect size for our 5 “teen” girls. We love it!

Overall it serves its purpose- however, we had to do some modifications to keep water out during rain. Luckily it rained the first day we set it up, before we put the girls in, so we saw what areas we needed to address. We added some caulk along where the wood Evers the metal channels and added an overhang to the roof and that did the trick. I think we’ll need to do something to make the ramp a bit sturdier because I watched a it came off one side as a girl was on it, but again, it serves its purpose.

Great product, this is the second one we have bought. Have one for my hens and one for my rooster . We have them both set up in the same big chicken pen/coop. We alternate day’s for which one has the run of the coop. We have a game camera setup to watch over them. Before we had the coop done we seen raccoons on top of the houses trying to open the doors to get to the chickens and could not get to them. For anyone that buys one and doesn’t surround with wire and put a top on it , we used small bungee cords on the doors to keep latches secure.

Very tough chicken coop. Fairly easy to assemble, except they expect one to drill through metal in a few places, no predrilled holes in the metal. Aside from that, it’s of good heavy material, chickens are safe. Don’t expect to move this coop from place to place without help of a second person, really needs to be an in place coop. I have four hens.

I think that overall this coop seems pretty durable in comparison to others available at Tractor Supply. I have to say I am happy with the material it is made of, the size, and how easy it is to put together. I personally did make some additions to it to make sure my chickens would be safe. I added hardware cloth to cover the bottom and sides of the coop as well as, Flex seal over the entire coop; I wanted to make sure that it lasted as long as possible. So far it seems to be holding up really well against the rain and has not had any leaking as far as I am aware. You can put this coop together by yourself but, it is so much easier with another set of hands BELIEVE ME LOL. Also, I would not recommend putting more than 3 chickens in this coop comfortably. I wish the price was cheaper as you could make a beautiful coop with what it costs but, I mistakenly bought chickens first and needed a home for my girls ASAP…I know rookie mistake. I hope this helps!

Looks good. Pretty easy to set up, better when 2-3 people put it together. Chicks are too small to determine if it really can hold 6 as it’s labeled for, but it seems big enough so far.

I put my coop together inside of a larger chicken run. I also left off the front half of the fencing attachment of the coop since it was inside of a large run. It was easy to out together. Took me 2 hours by myself. I have 4 black sexlink chickens and definitely could fit as many as 8 if you are going to have a larger run for the chickens like we do.

This is a great coop for chicks that are able to live outdoors. It is durable and safe. I would not purchase anything else for my 6 chicks. They enjoy it! And I feel confident that they are safe from predators.

Great coup for my starting group of chickens. I’ve been researching coups and raising chickens for over a year, now I’m finally ready to do it. This coup makes it so easy!
